A Kite Story: Creating Lift
When I was young, I learned something simple but profound: a kite only lifts when the forces around it are understood. Too much tension and it stalls. Too little and it collapses. The magic happens in the balance like reading the wind, working with limits, and creating shared movement between the flyer and the sky.
That early lesson became the foundation of my work.
Kite Agility exists to help project leaders read those winds, reduce friction, and create the clarity that moves work forward.
My philosophy of PMO leadership is rooted in clarity, aligning how people see the strategy, how they define value, and how they interpret data. But clarity doesn’t happen through dashboards or process. It happens through shared meaning, identity and strategy alignment, and the ability to work with the real limits of people, systems, and context.
Most organizations try to force lift through pressure, speed, or volume. I help leaders create lift through understanding; the kind that aligns perspectives, reduces noise, and turns complexity into coherent movement.
About Dori Gilbert
The “Next Step Architect” for Leaders Who Want Clarity and Momentum
I help leaders and PMOs cut through complexity so they can move forward with confidence. My work blends strategic clarity, narrative intelligence, and a deep understanding of how people interpret information, including the subtle listening patterns that shape decisions and create friction.
I don’t add more process.
I reveal the meaning beneath the work so everything gets lighter.
What I Do
As the Next Step Architect, I partner with founders, PMO leaders, and small‑team executives who are navigating:
I help them see what’s really happening beneath the surface - the invisible dynamics, the listening habits, the meaning gaps - and then architect the next step that brings everything back into alignment.
How I Work with PMOs
My approach for PMOs is intentionally lightweight and deeply human.
Everything I do fits into three pillars:
Together, these form the Value Interpretation Architecture: a way of working that reduces cognitive load, strengthens decisions, and gives leaders a shared language for the work.
Whether I’m facilitating a workshop, coaching a PMO leader, or supporting an organization as a fractional PMO, my goal is simple:
Help you see clearly.
Help you decide wisely.
Help you move forward with ease.
Who I Am
I’m a strategist, a pattern‑finder, and a meaning‑maker. I’m known for:
If you’re ready for clarity that feels light, grounded, and deeply actionable, I’d love to partner with you.
